Hypnotherapy is a client-centred, evidence-informed therapeutic approach that uses guided relaxation and focused attention to support positive change. It works with the subconscious mind to explore unhelpful patterns, reduce emotional barriers, and encourage healthier responses.
Hypnosis can support the mind’s ability to integrate new strategies, skills, and strengths, increasing receptivity to positive, self-directed suggestions. This process supports motivation, insight, and the development of new ways of thinking, feeling, and responding.
Clinical hypnotherapy integrates hypnosis with recognised therapeutic models and psychological frameworks within the scope of hypnotherapy practice, to support emotional regulation, behavioural change, and personal growth.
Angela’s clinical hypnotherapy practice is informed by a range of psychological and therapeutic frameworks that support insight, emotional regulation, and behavioural change. These approaches are used within the scope of hypnotherapy practice to enhance understanding of patterns, responses, and subconscious processes.

Hypnotherapy is a very safe and effective method of treatment, using natural processes. It is simply a state of relaxation.
Everyone can be hypnotised! Hypnosis is a natural state and one that we go into several times a day, without even realising it. Some examples include;
Hypnosis feels a lot like daydreaming and is achieved when you are mentally and physically calm and relaxed. Hypnotherapy uses this relaxed state to access your subconscious mind. Suggestions are given, based on the changes that YOU want to make.
Depending on your health fund, you may have the opportunity to get a rebate back on your session. Please note that not all health funds cover hypnotherapy and this is not something that we can assist with, please check with your provider. A receipt will be provided upon payment, which you can use to make a claim, if your insurance company covers hypnotherapy. Unfortunately, more often than not there is no cover.
No. Hypnosis is about you making changes to how you think. All of the changes happen within your head, not in the room where you are, so hypnosis is just as effective whilst you remain in the comfort of your own home.
All you need is a quiet comfortable place, free from distraction and interruptions.
Whether you choose to attend in person or via ZOOM, is your personal choice and your results will not be affected by this decision.
Hypnotherapy is extremely effective for children and teenagers.
Hypnosis is all about using your imagination, visualising, and thinking about things differently than before.
A child's unconscious mind is wide open and therefore can take in any suggestions easily and openly.
As a result of their vivid imaginations, they have an easier time responding to hypnosis sessions, accessing their unconscious, and bringing about the desired change.
The list is endless!
Hypnotherapy can be used to treat a range of psychological and medical issues, including, but not limited to;
Or simply as a way to relax!
No! Well, not unless you really want to! During Hypnosis, YOU are in control of your thoughts and actions and your therapist cannot get you to do anything that you wouldn't choose to do in your waking-life.
Like any other therapy, hypnotherapy is private and confidential. You can discuss anything you want to with your therapist, but hypnotherapy cannot force you to say anything that you do not want to say.
While many clients experience meaningful and lasting changes, therapy outcomes can vary depending on individual circumstances and engagement in the process. Angela works closely with you to support your goals and facilitate positive transformation, but therapy is a collaborative journey without guaranteed timelines.
Gift vouchers are available to give to someone you love, however, please make sure that they really want hypnotherapy. Change is only possible when the person is ready and willing to make it happen.
